Gearbox Pressure X 8E - 16MM (Elongated)

The Pressure X is Gearbox's new flagship, and the 8E is the one that holds the ball. A measured 3.13 ms of dwell — the longest in the line — gives you more time on the face to shape a shot, place it, or take pace off it.

Underneath sits an entirely new core. The patent-pending Pressure X Core pairs Gearbox's SST 2.0 carbon fibre rib structure with a micro-cell EPP foam SSTCore, bonded carbon-to-carbon with carbon face ties. There is no honeycomb and no adhesive layer between dissimilar materials — the whole paddle behaves as one piece, which is what keeps the response consistent as the paddle ages.

8E or 8M?

Same shape, same weight, same face. The difference is how long the ball stays on it:

• 8E — 3.13 ms dwell. Longer contact. Suits players who work the ball — resets, rolls, dinks with intent, and anyone who wants to feel the shot before it leaves.
• 8M — 2.46 ms dwell. Quicker release for drives and fast hands.

If you'd rather control the point than end it on the first ball, the 8E is your side of that line.

Technology

• Pressure X Core (patent pending) — SSTCore with micro-cell EPP foam over an SST 2.0 carbon rib structure.
• SpinLock System (patent pending) — surface treatment built to hold its spin numbers over the life of the paddle rather than polishing smooth.
• UD tapered carbon fibre face (patent pending) — unidirectional layup, thinned toward the edges.
• Full-Face Performance Mapping — tuned against 20 measured impact locations, giving 78% sweet spot area across 87.7% playable surface.
• Elongated+ geometry with a tapered throat that leaves room for a two-handed backhand.
